TIMELINE

The Arise & Build Capital Campaign project is divided into three phases and expected to take about two and a half years to complete. Construction will begin in July 2025 and finish by the end of December 2027.

The Arise & Build Capital Campaign committee looked at the project from all angles and concluded that before construction on the church sanctuary could begin – the most important part of the project – the altar must move to the Kourmolis Center. But we can’t make this move until an alternative space for the Kourmolis Center fellowship and ministry activities can be found.

Phase I 

Phase I kicks off by transforming the current school building into a ministry building with a small fellowship hall, so we can continue to support our many ministries and fellowship activities while the Kourmolis Center is reserved for worship.

Phase II 

The congregation holds church services in the Kourmolis Center for the duration of the church sanctuary’s construction.

Phase III 

It’s time to return to our beautiful house of worship, newly-ready to accommodate more people seeking the Light than ever before, and concludes the project with many improvements to our grounds and landscaping.

PHASE I

July 2025

  • Commence reconfiguring the school building into a ministry building, which will ultimately house the church offices, classrooms and a small fellowship hall.

January 2026

  • Relocate the church offices to the ministry building.

  • Demolish current office building and level ground for future parking and outdoor elements.

PHASE II

Spring 2026

  • Prepare the Kourmolis Center to be used as the church sanctuary.

  • On the Sunday following Pascha, relocate the furnishings of the church into the Kourmolis Center and begin holding services in a temporary altar.

  • Commence church expansion which includes expanding the church sanctuary by installing 180 new seats, adding a proper narthex with bathrooms, and improving wheelchair accessibility.

The goal of Arise & Build Phase II is to be back in the original church sanctuary in time to celebrate Holy Week 2027.

PHASE III

Spring 2027

  • Once the original church sanctuary reopens, renovate the Kourmolis Center by remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen.

  • Build a walkway between the church sanctuary and the ministry building.

  • Create a new outdoor prayer garden.

  • Enhance the grounds with new asphalt, landscaping and fencing.

  • Update the small building located near the soccer field, with the goal of renting it to a local business.

The goal is for the project to be finished by December 31, 2027.
