Like the generations that came before us, we have reached an important crossroads in the life of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. To continue serving our congregation and welcoming future generations, we must expand and renew our campus.
Over the years, God has blessed our parish with remarkable growth. What began in 1956 as a small church family has grown into a vibrant community of over 400 families today—and continues to grow. While we celebrate this blessing, our facilities, built decades ago, can no longer fully support the needs of our growing parish.
The vision for an updated St. John campus includes:
Additional seating in the sanctuary
An expanded narthex
Additional parking
Renovation of the Kourmolis Center
A new Ministry Building to support our many educational, fellowship, and outreach ministries
Guided by our core values of Love, Worship, Community, Learning and Service, we launched the Arise & Build Capital Campaign in February 2025. Together, we will strengthen our church home so it can continue to inspire faith, serve our community, and welcome generations to come.

WHY ARISE & BUILD?
The name of our campaign comes from the Book of Nehemiah. It tells the story about the Israelites returning from their exile in Babylon and finding Jerusalem in ruins. Nehemiah encouraged the people to “Let us arise and build!” So they strengthened their hands for the good work. (Nehemiah 2:18). United in faith, they quickly rebuilt their city, making it better than before.
Today, we are called to do the same—not because our church is in ruins, but because God has blessed us with growth and opportunity. We have been entrusted with the responsibility of preparing St. John’s for the next generation of faithful Orthodox Christians.
This is truly a once-in-a-generation opportunity for every parishioner to participate in shaping the future of our church. Every gift, regardless of its size, is received with gratitude and prayer. Each offering brings us one step closer to realizing this shared vision.
Our goal is simple: 100% parish participation. When every family joins in prayer and giving according to their ability, every member becomes part of the legacy we leave for those who will worship here after us.
